He doesn't know how to explain it...

It could be that but I would like to suggest another possibility. I think he has a product that does some interesting things and he is attempting, searching, and trying to find a way to make others aware of the distinctions.

So far he is attacking the value and validity of the actual technology that allowed him to realize the discoveries he has found. He is using the very process he says he no longer believes in to make the comparison. He has replaced the word "change" with "re-set" and then attacks the word "change". He focuses on changing problems while saying it really isn't changing only re-setting. His definition of "change" is narrower than most definitions of the word. He agrees there is a "change" that is needed and from then on calls it "re-set".


I think he may be onto something and yet the model he is using is an "either/or" model which limits him from using an "and" model. If he used the "and" model he could include the "either/or" model and address the area that I suspect his product addresses. There would be an easy way to show the distinctions and praise the technologies it came from instead of bashing and attacking them. (But I'd charge good money to teach him that.)


Somatic deals with body sensation and physical feeling which is an energy level distinction and yet the word "change" is a linguistics level concept.

And as far as I can tell from deciphering the nominalizations that he uses (again this is based on how I would interpret them), his system works on or from a Spiritual-energy level more than a linguistic level.


From all the studying, testing and modeling that I have done and am aware of, the experiences of being in the zone, being enlightened, having a peak experience, etc. are all somatic experiences. In other words they are body experiences where the mind is not involved because the thinking/deciding process is way to slow for the experience. The mind may comment as an
observer, but it is always after the fact.


A somatic experience (kinesthetic body sensation) is the fastest experience of the three conduits of experience, it requires "0" interpretation.


Visual experience is the next fastest experience, the speed of light and requires some interpretation. It is digital or moving. (A picture is worth a thousand words).


Auditory (linguistic) experience is the slowest experience, speed of sound (1,100 ft/sec) and is analog. (A word is worth a 1000 pictures. But which 1000 and who decides?)


Attempting to describe the fastest experience with the slowest experience can be somewhat difficult, challenging, rewarding and stretching. (This definitely has been my experience of attempting to describe Spiritual Technologys' like PEAT and others.)


The marketing of his system would be a good place to use the magical questions of NLP...

If I could explain this in a way that works, how would I? And how else can I explain it?
