Comments on Spiritual Psychology
Mike,Good enjoyable post. While Huna talks about these concepts as being ideal. It has not yet gotten to the point of bring them into union or integrating them. That is why I speak often of the Spiritual Technology, PEAT. It is designed to do exactly what you write about, the integrating of polarities.

Here I see something very familiar. The following is part of a book on spiritual psychology that I have written, but not yet published. I think this group will find this interesting:
The Nag Hammadi Library in English is the collection of scriptures from the library of fourth-century papyrus manuscripts. The majority of tractates in the library are from the Hellenistic sects now called “gnostic”. In this material is the Gospel of Thomas, which is a collection of traditional sayings of Jesus. In verse 22 Jesus answers his disciples about how to enter the “kingdom”.
“When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same so that the male not be male nor the female female: and when you fashion eyes in place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness: then you shall enter the kingdom”
This statement is impossible to understand through any form of literal thinking. The statement is an encoded riddle. To understand the deeper meaning of the riddle we need to know the code. The code is embodied in the Huna model and the Hawaiian language. By translating the words back into the Hawaiian language and going deeper into the meaning of the root words we find other meanings that make much more sense. An example of this method is to take the word “likeness” and translate it back into Hawaiian. We get the word “aka”. This is the name that is also used to describe the “shadow” body, or “spirit body” of consciousness. The riddle is really begging us to find the double meaning for these words so the riddle makes more sense. The following is my understanding of the true meaning of what Jesus really meant.
“When you fully integrate your conscious and unconscious resources (when you fully integrate intellect with emotion) and when you have understood that there is no separation between your inner and outer worlds, when you bring together your higher spirituality with your lower physical reality, and when you fully integrate your masculine and feminine energies to complete union, and you harness the power of focus, and the power of your will, and when you practice meditation over time, and identify your self, not with your body, but your spirit; that is when you will graduate to the next dimension of higher awareness.”
